Job Description:

Senior Professional, Contract Management

Join the Team at Cotality

Are you a contract specialist who thrives at the intersection of legal precision and business strategy? At Cotality, we are looking for a Senior Professional of Contract Management to serve as a vital bridge between our legal standards and our operational goals. You won't just be tracking documents; you'll be optimizing the way we do business.

The Role at a Glance

In this pivotal role, you will lead the end-to-end contracting lifecycle-from initial drafting and high-stakes negotiation to final execution and long-term administration. You will ensure every agreement aligns with Cotality's legal requirements, corporate policies, and governance standards, while proactively identifying opportunities to streamline our processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Workflow Leadership: Own the preparation and management of contracts and legal documents across the enterprise. You'll be the architect of our contract standards, helping to develop and implement optimized processes that drive efficiency.

  • Negotiation & Drafting: Act as a primary point of contact for third-party negotiations. You will revise documents to meet Cotality requirements and collaborate closely with company attorneys on complex legal drafting.

  • Business Partnership: Build and maintain high-trust relationships with internal stakeholders. You'll act as a consultant to understand their needs and deliver contract solutions that protect Cotality's interests while enabling business growth.

  • Risk & Compliance Advisory: Advise leadership on contract obligations, performance commitments, and potential deficiencies. You will be the "early warning system" for contract renewals and critical notice dates.

  • Digital Asset Management: Organize and maintain our electronic contract ecosystem. You will ensure all fully executed agreements are accurately tracked and that our data remains a reliable source of truth.

  • Reporting & Insights: Transform contract data into actionable intelligence. You will prepare statistical reports that help leadership plan for the future and maintain a pulse on our contractual health.

Job Qualifications:

  • Negotiation Flair: A professional, persuasive communication style that finds the "win-win" in third-party discussions.

  • Process Mindset: A passion for taking a "messy" workflow and turning it into a streamlined, repeatable standard.

  • Collaborative Spirit: The ability to partner with diverse teams-from sales to legal-to get the job done efficiently.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.

  • Paralegal experience or certification a plus.

  • 5-7 years of contract management (review, writing, redlining and negotiating) experience or other related experience with contracting in a corporate environment.

  • Requires superior written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking.

  • Proficient knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Access and Excel).

  • Knowledge of standard contracting administration procedures, concepts, principles and methods.

  • Effective negotiation and persuasive skills.
