Job description

PURVIS Systems has an immediate opening for a Production Engineer to join our team.ย  The Production Engineer will work closely with a team of engineers, senior leadership and sponsor level leadership.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
Monitor Torpedo Production Contracts:
  • Understand contract Statement for Work and Level of Effort for torpedo production contracts.
  • Track schedules, costs and delivery dates using Microsoft Project (POA&M methodology.ย  Provide impacts to leadership and make recommendations on mitigration.
  • Understand the propose of and track contract modifications.ย  Perform impact verification.
  • Communicate these issues to Senior Level and Program Office Management.
Manage Technical Issues
  • Lead and participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) that include government and contractor workforces, as well as sponsor level participation.
  • Be able to effectively communicate/coordinate across multiple disciplines to include systems engineering, mechanical and testing to address technical issues.
  • Generate and review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Request for Variances (RFVs) to ensure production contract objectives will be met.
Testing
  • Arrange testing in accordance with System Engineering Technical Requirements (SETRs)
Communication
  • Effective communicate (written and verbal) at the engineering working level, senior leadership and sponsors level.
  • Present production topics at Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and response to questions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 5+ years engineering experience.
  • Be able to effective communicate, as well as present topics at program management reviews.

Candidate must have or be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
