Job description

Aerospace Hydraulics Planner

Sargent Aerospace & Defense is a premier global supplier of custom engineered, high quality products to the Aerospace and Defense Industries. Sargent is comprised of two market focused groups: Sargent OEM Group and Sargent Aftermarket Services Group. Sargent Aerospace & Defense products are found on many major Commercial and Military aircraft in operation worldwide. Products and systems include hydraulic actuation and valve systems, locking actuators, steering metering control valves, fuse pins, hot forged bolts, pneumatic ducting and valve seals, tubing system alignment joints, engine hot section and structural components, airframe components, shock strut bearings, PTFE lined spherical bearings and broad component maintenance, overhaul, spares logistics and power-by-the-hour support services. Sargent is also a major supplier of hydraulic control valves to the US Navy on all Nuclear Class Submarine programs. Sargent has an immediate opening for an Aerospace Hydraulics Planner.

PURPOSE & SCOPE

Responsible for planning and scheduling jobs in the factory within standard practice, policy and SC&A Code of Ethics. The responsibilities will be focused on the plannerโ€™s value stream product line. Refer to the Quality Manual for additional responsibilities.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure Safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability
  • Plan and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
  • Responsible for capacity analysis and material requirements planning.
  • Reviews demand to determine quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
  • Interface with Procurement and Production on material status and scheduling issues.
  • Assist in maintaining accuracy of the database.
  • Analysis Support โ€“ shipment plans, changes and effects, gross margin, cycle time, etc.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associateโ€™s degree at a minimum
  • 4-8 yearsโ€™ experience in a manufacturing environment or related field
  • Experience with production control, expediting, ERP systems, and MS Office applications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

PREFERRED JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or higher preferred
  • APICS/ ASCM Certification
