We are looking for an experienced Construction Contracts Administrator to support contract governance for a growing organization in New York. In this role, you will work closely with leadership and legal partners to evaluate agreements, reduce contractual risk, and help keep procurement and project activities aligned with established obligations. This position is well suited for someone with a strong background in construction-related contract administration who can manage details effectively while providing practical guidance throughout the contract lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate incoming contracts, subcontracts, supplier agreements, and purchasing documents to identify key terms, obligations, and potential risks.
• Lead contract discussions and revisions with internal stakeholders and external parties to help secure favorable and compliant terms.
• Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including issuance, updates, extensions, and closeout activities.
• Monitor critical compliance elements such as insurance certificates, bonding requirements, renewals, and amendment deadlines.
• Organize and maintain accurate contract files and supporting documentation for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Advise project teams and leadership on contract language, obligations, and risk considerations to support informed decision-making.
• Assist with bid and proposal activities by confirming that contractual and procurement requirements are properly addressed.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of contract procedures, templates, and best practices to improve consistency and control.• At least 5 years of experience in contract management, contract administration, procurement, paralegal work, or construction contract support.
• Demonstrated ability to review and negotiate agreements within construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
• Working knowledge of procurement processes and standard contract documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple agreements and deadlines accurately.
• Effective written communication skills and the ability to explain contract terms clearly to stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Backgrounds such as Contract Manager, Contract Administrator, Procurement Specialist, Construction Administrator, or Paralegal are especially relevant for this role.
