Job description

Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking a Conflicts Analyst for our Conflicts Department in our Denver or Seattle office. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients. The Conflicts Analyst is responsible for performing and analyzing specific Conflict of Interest research and corresponding Conflicts results and/or assessments regarding new business and lateral hire searches for incoming attorneys.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Reviews all Conflicts searches and new attorney questionnaires for potential Conflicts of Interest.
  • Conducts research in the firm's conflicts database and commercial database services including both simple and complex searches on personal and corporate names for the purpose of determining whether actual or potential conflicts exist.
  • Prepares clear and concise reports explaining the results of specific conflicts searches, and highlighting areas of potential conflict.
  • Reviews conflict reports with the requesting attorney (if requested).

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • College Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one year in law firm conflicts and/or new business intake role.
  • Prior experience utilizing automated conflicts system.
  • Prior experience utilizing Intapp Open is preferred.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, including the ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and prepare complex reports and converse authoritatively with lawyers about conflicts issues.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work productively with firm personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and work within tight deadlines.
  • Creative and diligent online searching skills and experience using various online subscription services is required (E.g. Dun & Bradstreet, Standard & Poor's, etc.)
  • Excellent writing skills are required.

This is a full-time, regular position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. The firm also offers life insurance, short term disability plans and retirement plans in addition to holidays and paid time off. The firm offers hybrid work schedules combining in office work days as well as remote work days. The pay range for this position in Denver and Seattle only is $31.79 to $36.92 per hour.
