Job Title: Conflicts Analyst (Part-Time)

Location: Remote (Approved States Only)

Industry: Legal Services

Pay: $31.00 - $40.00 per hour

Job Description:

Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Lateral Conflicts Analyst to support a leading law firm’s conflicts and compliance team. This role is responsible for conducting conflict-of-interest reviews for attorney candidates, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards prior to hire. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, analytical, and investigative skills and be comfortable working with confidential information in a fast-paced legal environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Create, review, and analyze conflict-of-interest reports for attorney candidates and related matters using firm systems and databases.
  • Review candidate questionnaires, work histories, client lists, matter histories, and portable business information to identify potential conflicts.
  • Communicate with candidates, attorneys, recruiting teams, and administrative staff to gather and clarify information needed for conflicts reviews.
  • Conduct detailed research using legal and business research platforms, public records, corporate family tree resources, and other third-party tools.
  • Verify parties, entities, relationships, and prior representations to identify potential ethical or legal conflicts.
  • Track waivers, consents, engagement letters, confidentiality screens, and other compliance requirements throughout the review process.
  • Monitor pending conflicts requests and proactively follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain and update conflicts databases, records, notes, and search results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support attorneys and firm personnel with ethical wall implementation, confidentiality screens, access restrictions, and related compliance procedures.
  • Generate reports and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in conflicts analysis, legal compliance, legal research, risk management, paralegal work, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience reviewing complex data and identifying inconsistencies or areas requiring clarification.
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms and database management systems preferred.
  • Experience with Upfront, Fulcrum, Lexis, or similar legal technology platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Flexible schedule
  • Approximately 20 hours per week to start
