Job description

Business Process Analyst

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Business Process Analyst (Level 3 or 4) to support the Raw Material Aggregation Systems (RMAS) Team based out of Kent, Washington.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Business Systems Operations team within BCA Supply Chain. The RMAS team serves as the first line of support for internal and external customers, ensuring that requests, system questions, and enhancement needs are handled efficiently and accurately.

As a Business Process Analyst, you will work between business teams and IT to analyze current processes, identify issues or inefficiencies, recommend improvements, support system or process enhancements, and shape the future.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates cross-functional teams focused on single business processes with limited integration/impact with other processes
  • Facilitates effective structured process and product team meetings with appropriate use of process methods and tools
  • Assists in the preparation of meeting materials and recording, and communicating the results
  • With oversight, collects, analyzes and documents requirements from process owners
  • Applies basic process, data, and applications/systems architecture
  • Learns to effectively contract with customer and/or charter project, design a process workshop based on customer requirements and objectives, and disseminate information to affected parties
  • Learns to influence, negotiate, and act as a change agent with a diverse audience
  • May serve as mentor to others within the group
  • Supports strategic planning efforts by researching established procedures and guidelines
  • Learns basics of business strategy and workshop modeling
  • Learns to apply and integrate current strategic initiatives into process improvement activities
  • Schedules and plans assigned work
  • Contributes to the completion of specific programs, projects and implementation activities
  • Prepares work estimates for assigned tasks using cost benefit analysis
  • Conducts business requirements review, coordinates testing schedules, and assists in the preparation of test scripts
  • Communicates with information technology organizations to represent customers and functional users on project requirements, activities, and status. Serves as mentor to others within the group
  • Supports development of data supporting the business case and risk analysis of process investment, returns, affordability and resource requirements as reflected in commitments, opportunities and risks to the Business Plan
  • Demonstrates familiarity and use of Project Management and/or Program Management Best Practices tools necessary to assist project leaders
  • Supports the team by collecting task status and creating visibility materials of project, as required
  • Utilizes and complies with the current documentation framework and standards
  • Assists in efforts to identify opportunities to eliminate, consolidate and/or simplify process documents
  • Supports the transition from traditional documentation standards to evolving data and information management standards by entering and modifying process data to fit the standards
  • Assists with coordination of reviews, assessments, and audits of business process documentation, as required
  • May develop or assist with developing process standards, guidelines, methods and tools
  • Provides support to teams to work within, integrate with or improve the existing process architecture
  • Encourages the team to achieve architectural compliance
  • Researches existing business architectural data and providing to teams in support of integration and architectural compliance efforts

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain processes
  • 3+ years of experience in production operations or a support role involving end user/customer support for IT systems
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
