Business / Process Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Business/Process Analyst for a 12-month assignment with our client in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate is a local Austin resident with at least 8 years of expertise in Business Analysis methodology and Business Process Analysis (BPA). You will lead the mapping, analysis, and redesign of complex processes to deliver measurable operational efficiencies.


Key Responsibilities

Process Analysis & Redesign

  • Mapping & Analysis: Lead the mapping and redesign of end-to-end processes for internal agency staff, client staff, and the general public.

  • BPR Leadership: Drive Business Process Reengineering (BPR) efforts, identifying opportunities to apply technology solutions that improve service delivery.

  • Future-State Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and document "To-Be" processes that streamline workflows and enhance consistency.

Strategy & Advisory

  • Project Advising: Serve as a subject matter expert on process improvement best practices and solution design support.

  • Financial Analysis: Prepare solution options including risk identification and high-level financial analyses (Cost/Benefit and ROI).

  • Gap Analysis: Evaluate existing systems and user needs to identify inefficiencies, risks, and gaps.

Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation

  • Facilitation: Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit requirements with minimal supervision.

  • Documentation: Develop detailed business requirements and program functions to support executive decision-making.

  • Change Management: Support organizational change by translating process improvements into actionable procedures and guidance.

  • IT Collaboration: Partner with IT teams to recommend technology changes that align with redesigned business processes.
