Job description

At GRW, we specialize in multidiscipline engineering, architecture, and geospatial design consulting services. Our firm continues its evolution, building on our foundation as a water resources engineering firm to offering multidiscipline architectural design, and civil/site, transportation, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering, as well as surveying/geospatial services for myriad local/state/federal government, industrial/commercial, and private clients. As we near our 62-year mark, we continue to rely on collaboration and relationships as we move forward.

We are looking for a Marketing Proposal Coordinator to join our Marketing team in our Lexington office. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field and at least three years of marketing experience in the A/E/C industry are preferred. Without a degree, ten years of relevant experience, in addition to appropriate knowledge and skills is desired. Experience with technical proposal writing is a must.

Excellent organizational, facilitation, communication, writing and editing skills are critical. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and the Microsoft Office Suite is also required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

In the role of Marketing Proposal Coordinator, you'll be a key member of the marketing team - which includes in-house graphics design - working with a variety of GRW professionals. Expectations include the following:

  • Develop and prepare compliant, responsive, and competitive responses to Request for Proposal (RFP) / Request for Qualifications (RFQ), as well as assist with shortlist/interview preparation. These deadline-driven assignments include researching, interviewing subject matter experts, writing, and editing, as well as assisting with graphic ideas and layout.
  • Research and review procurement resources as part of the lead/opportunity process.
  • Update/create project descriptions, resumes, and proposal text for use in submittals. Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or similar robust database experience is a plus
  • Assist with writing/development of award submittals, e-newsletters, printed/digital handouts/brochures, advertisements, and other marketing collateral as needed.
  • Assist with conference-related coordination.
  • Assist with website and social media presence.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
