A leading A/E/C consulting firm has an immediate need for a Proposal Coordinator with technical proposal experience out of their regional office in Los Angeles, CA.ย This position will be responsible for assisting in preparing and developing the proposal plan for the Request for Proposal (RFP) release and the process including end game and checkmate for assigned business development proposals to obtain work for our clientโ€™s company. This position will assist proposal development efforts in collaboration with business development and project management leadership to develop value propositions that enhance our clients' competitive positions.

Job Description

A leading A/E/C consulting firm has an immediate need for a Proposal Coordinator with technical proposal experience out of their regional office in Los Angeles, CA. This position will be responsible for assisting in preparing and developing the proposal plan for the Request for Proposal (RFP) release and the process including end game and checkmate for assigned business development proposals to obtain work for our clientโ€™s company. This position will assist proposal development efforts in collaboration with business development and project management leadership to develop value propositions that enhance our clients' competitive positions.

Responsibilities

  • Working and assisting in developing content proposal sections from reference materials and/or interviews with subject matter experts
  • Assist with developing and documenting the proposal plan, draft storyboards, development of proposal/win strategy, proposal team assignments, and initial proposal management plan.
  • Assist in the production of hard copy and electronic proposal documents
  • Manage the collection and control of documents required for RFP submission from subcontractors and external parties.
  • Manage deadlines and responsibilities assigned
  • Developing work product that meets solicitation requirements and compliance objectives
  • Attending pre-proposal meetings
  • Build a professional network and participate in the industry by attending professional association meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Assist with the setup and preparation of the booth for conferences and trade shows.
  • Managing multiple proposals as well as drafting and writing proposals for incoming RFPs
  • Support the development of metrics such as Change orders, safety, budget, schedule, diversity goals, and community involvement activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related degree is required.
  • One year of applicable experience is required.
  • Prior experience with Public Works or environmental industry proposals is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, technical writing, and creative writing as well as proofreading and editing.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities.
