About the Role:

Personal Touch Food Service is seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Cook to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, has a passion for food service, and values serving nutritious meals to students.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Cook in preparing and serving meals in accordance with established menus and nutritional guidelines.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and serving areas.

Help with inventory, food storage, and restocking of supplies.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.

Support meal service in a busy, student-centered cafeteria environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Cook or Food Service Manager.

Schedule:

Follows the school calendar - no nights, weekends, or holidays!

Requirements

Qualifications:

Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred, especially in a school or institutional setting.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Must be able to work in a noisy, fast-paced school cafeteria environment.

Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well in a team.

A valid ServSafe certification is a plus or willingness to obtain.
