The Goddard School located in Fort Wayne is seeking a Cook. The Goddard School is a leader in child care and provides high-quality early childhood education. We believe in education and fun!
Candidates must be able to create and manage a budget, prepare menus, and calculate portions. Experience is needed to prepare lunch and snacks following nutritional guidelines for preschool-age children.
The Cook is responsible for duties as outlined by the hiring manager, including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Managing the food budget
  • Ensuring the safe handling and preparation of all food
  • Preparing a menu that includes healthy lunch and snack selections, serving breakfast
  • Ensuring that menus are in compliance with state and federal regulations at all times
  • Maintaining appropriate portion sizes
  • Ordering food and paper products
  • Assisting in other areas as assigned
