Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and experienced housekeeping supervisor professional to lead and support the housekeeping team in maintaining clean and welcoming guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, service-focused, and capable of managing day-to-day housekeeping operations. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with brand standards
  • Lead daily housekeeping operations and conduct team shift meetings
  • Supervise, train, and assist housekeeping staff as needed
  • Ensure equipment (vacuums, carts, laundry machines) is maintained and functional
  • Track and manage supplies, inventory, and guest loaned items (e.g., cribs, rollaway beds)
  • Communicate with maintenance and front desk teams for efficient operations
  • Maintain accurate records: checklists, inventory logs, training sheets, etc.
  • Monitor safety and sanitation compliance; enforce key control and guest privacy policies
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and assist with issues professionally
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 4+ years of Hotel housekeeping experience (required)
  • 2+ years of IHG hotel experience (preferred)
  • IHG training certifications (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (for reports, inventory, and checklists)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for long periods
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Schedule:

  • Morning/Day shift
  • Weekend availability required
