Job description

A warm and active family in New York City is seeking an experienced Family Assistant / Household Manager to support their household and three school-aged children. This is a live-in position that includes relocating with the family to Westchester during the summer months and traveling. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, nurturing, and comfortable managing both childcare and household responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the daily care and supervision of three children.
  • Escort children to and from school and activities using public transportation, rideshare, or driving (during the summer).
  • Be available for occasional early school or camp pickups.
  • Manage family calendars, appointments, and schedules.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the children's schools.
  • Assist with homework and after-school activity planning.
  • Grocery shop, meal plan, and prepare family meals.
  • Handle family laundry and daily household tidying.
  • Maintain household organization and run errands.
  • Travel with the family during the summer and on occasional domestic and international trips.

Deep cleaning and ironing are handled by outside staff and are not part of this position.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable using technology and digital calendars.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to live in, relocate seasonally, and travel with the family.
  • Italian language skills are a plus but not required.

Schedule: Full-time, live-in position. Early morning start with a midday break while children are at school or camp. Must be available for occasional on-call school or camp pickups.
