Job description

A warm, organized, and proactive nanny/family assistant is sought for a family with two children (ages 9 and 6) on the Upper East Side. This is a long-term opportunity for a candidate who is seeking a meaningful role supporting a busy dual-career household. The family is looking for one consistent, dependable person who can provide both after-school childcare and family assistant support. The schedule will typically be 3 pm - 7 pm Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to stay later on occasion, with advance notice. The family is seeking someone who can become a trusted, long-term presence and help simplify the day-to-day logistics of a busy household.
 
No driving is required for this role; all schools, activities, and errands are within walking distance of the family's home.
 

Childcare
  • School pick-ups and supervision of after-school transitions
  • Accompanying children to nearby activities and appointments
  • Supporting homework routines and reading assignments
  • Managing after-school and evening routines, including snacks, showers, and activity preparation
  • Encouraging independence while providing structure and guidance
  • Engaging the children in creative, active, and age-appropriate activities
