  • 16 hours per pay period • 8-hour AM shifts • Every other weekend • Holiday rotation

Location: Hillview Health Care Center
About the Position
Hillview Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate and reliable Household Assistant team member to support our resident-centered environment. This role combines routine cleaning responsibilities with assisting residents in aspects of daily care to help ensure a comfortable, safe, and supportive home.
You will work under the supervision of the Support Systems Manager, Director of Nursing, Clinical Nurse Manager, or Household Coordinator. Either position is scheduled to work 8 hours shifts, with the opportunity to discuss your preferred daily start time between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Responsibilities Include
• Assist residents with daily care needs following CNA training
• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and common spaces
• Stock supplies and maintain cleanliness of equipment and household areas
• Support resident activities and provide mealtime assistance
• Follow isolation, infection-control, and safety procedures
• Maintain resident rights, confidentiality, and a person-centered focus
• Provide supervision to ensure resident safety
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and required annual in-service hours
• Work collaboratively with care teams to meet individualized resident needs
Physical Requirements
• Stand and walk for most of the shift
• Bend, stoop, push, and pull carts or wheelchairs up to 250 lbs
• Lift up to 35 lbs; assist with transfers up to 50 lbs
• Use nursing-related equipment and cleaning tools
• Communicate clearly in English and maintain accurate documentation
Required Qualifications
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at time of hire
- OR enrolled in an approved CNA training program (must be on WI Nurse Aide Registry within 120 days)
• At least 17 years old
• Ability to pass Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain safety standards
• Comfortable working with diverse resident populations, including dementia or mental health needs
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in facility cleaning or environmental services
• Experience with geriatric or long-term care populations
• Valid driver's license and good driving record (for positions that may drive facility vehicles)
