This can include identifying new markets, forming partnerships, generating leads, and creating long-term value for the organization. Professionals in business development often work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to drive growth and increase revenue. Their role is crucial for helping companies find new opportunities and stay competitive in the market.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a business development professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Business Development professional, you need strong market research skills, sales acumen, networking ability, and typically a degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with CRM software, data analysis tools, and lead generation platforms is often required. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills help you stand out in this role. These skills are crucial for identifying growth opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue for the organization.

Job description

Business Development Manager Louisville, KY | B2B Territory Sales

$50,000โ€“$60,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

Six-Figure Income Potential

Build a Network That Pays You Back

The best outside salespeople eventually learn something:

One great relationship can be worth far more than one great sale.

All Dry Services is looking for an outside sales professional to build a network of referral partners and commercial relationships throughout the Louisville market.

You'll meet the people who regularly encounter property emergenciesโ€”property managers, insurance professionals, plumbers, contractors, facility managers, and business ownersโ€”and develop relationships that position All Dry as the company they trust when something goes wrong.

You're not trying to sell them something every time you walk through the door.

You're building a reason for them to call you when the opportunity arrives.

Why This Sales Model Is Different

A traditional salesperson constantly needs the next customer.

In this role, your goal is to build relationships with people who can become repeat sources of business.

Consider the difference:

A property manager may oversee dozens of buildings.

A plumber encounters water emergencies throughout the year.

An insurance professional works with hundreds of property owners.

A facility manager may be responsible for an entire portfolio of properties.

Build enough of the right relationships and your network begins working for you.

That's the opportunity.

Your Market

You'll represent All Dry throughout the greater Louisville area.

Your target relationships will include:

  • Property Managers
  • Facility Managers
  • Insurance Agents & Adjusters
  • Plumbers
  • HVAC Contractors
  • Commercial Property Professionals
  • Contractors
  • Business Owners
  • Other Local Referral Partners

You'll prospect for new relationships while developing the ones you've already opened.

Over time, the objective is simple:

Become the restoration resource your market thinks of first.

What You'll Actually Do

This is a field-based sales position.

Most weeks you'll be:

  • Identifying high-value prospects and referral partners
  • Prospecting for new business
  • Opening new professional relationships
  • Conducting face-to-face meetings
  • Visiting existing referral partners
  • Networking throughout the Louisville business community
  • Attending industry and association events
  • Following up consistently with prospects and partners
  • Managing contacts, activity, and opportunities through CRM
  • Working with operations when opportunities become active projects
  • Building a growing pipeline of referral and commercial business

Youโ€™ll have professional sales training and company support behind you.

But youโ€™ll have ownership of what matters most:

Creating the activity and building the relationships.

What Winning Looks Like

During your first 6โ€“12 months, youโ€™ll be building the foundation of your territory.

That means:

  • Consistent meetings with qualified prospects
  • A growing network of referral partners
  • Strong visibility throughout Louisville
  • A healthy and measurable pipeline
  • Relationships beginning to produce repeat opportunities
  • Increasing revenue from the network youโ€™ve developed
  • Momentum toward six-figure earnings

The objective isnโ€™t one big month.

Itโ€™s to build something that becomes more productive over time.

Why All Dry Services?

All Dry Services helps homeowners and businesses recover when properties are affected by water damage, fire damage, mold, and other emergencies.

When those situations occur, speed and trust matter.

Thatโ€™s why business development matters.

Youโ€™ll help build the professional relationships that put All Dry in position to respond when customers need usโ€”and youโ€™ll have the training and support to develop those relationships professionally.

Make Louisville Your Market

If youโ€™re looking for an outside sales opportunity where relationships matter, your effort directly influences your pipeline, and the network you build can increase your earning potential for years, weโ€™d like to meet you.

Who We're Looking For

Weโ€™re looking for someone who enjoys the part of sales that happens before the proposal.

Meeting people.

Opening doors.

Asking good questions.

Following up.

Earning trust.

Staying visible.

And eventually becoming the person they call.

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have experience in outside sales, B2B sales, business development, territory sales, account management, or relationship management
  • Are comfortable approaching new businesses and decision-makers
  • Enjoy being out in the field
  • Build rapport naturally
  • Are persistent without being pushy
  • Can work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Are organized and disciplined about follow-up
  • Want to be rewarded for the business you create
  • Are interested in building a long-term sales career

Experience in insurance, property management, construction, facilities, restoration, or another property-related industry is helpful.

It isn't required.

If you know how to build relationships and create opportunities, weโ€™ll teach you our industry.

Compensation & Career Opportunity

  • $50,000โ€“$60,000 Base Salary
  • Uncapped Commission
  • Six-Figure Income Potential
  • Company Technology Provided
  • Professional Sales Training & Development
  • Long-Term Career Growth Opportunity

The model is straightforward:

As your relationships grow, your opportunities should grow.

As your opportunities grow, so should your income.
