International Business Development Director – Germany (m/w/d)

Location: Germany (Remote)

Salary: €120,000 - €135,000 + discretionary bonus

About Us

ROI is an award‑winning automotive technology and services business working with vehicle manufacturers and leasing companies to improve fleet efficiency, performance, and customer experience. Following strong success in the UK market, ROI is now expanding internationally and is seeking an International Business Development Director to grow its presence in the German market and beyond.

The Role

This is a senior, relationship‑led position focused on market entry, opportunity creation, and strategic engagement with German OEMs and leasing companies. You will act as ROI’s local representative, building credibility, opening doors, and enabling long‑term commercial growth for ROI’s custom automotive technology platforms.

This role does not carry direct sales targets or responsibility for closing business. Commercial contracts will be executed through ROI’s UK entity in the short term.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain senior relationships with German OEM stakeholders across fleet, commercial, and digital functions
  • Represent ROI credibly in the German automotive market as a trusted technology partner
  • Identify and develop opportunities for ROI’s custom automotive technology platforms, including Agreements Engine, Leasing Portal, Fleet Gateway and associated products
  • Support UK‑based Sales Directors by shaping opportunities and providing local market insightFacilitate peer‑to‑peer engagement between German and UK OEM stakeholders
  • Provide insight into German OEM structures, agreement processes, and decision‑making dynamics
  • Advise on localisation, implementation readiness, and market‑specific considerations
What We’re Looking For
  • Native German speaker with fluent English
  • Extensive experience in the automotive industry, ideally OEM, fleet, or automotive technology
  • Established senior relationships within German OEMs
  • Comfortable operating peer‑to‑peer with Director‑level stakeholders
  • Strategic, consultative, and relationship‑led approach
  • Able to work autonomously in an international expansion environment
