Job description


Kisco Senior Living is hiring a Vice President of Learning & Development to assess our current training ecosystem and lead a transformation to enterprise-level learning excellence, leveraging AI to accelerate content creation, improve consistency, and scale impact across 4,500+ associates.
This is a high-visibility role for a strategic L&D leader who can build a modern learning engine: role-based pathways, assist in enhancing our train-the-trainer programs, creating clear playbooks, inspiring microlearning/video, and measurable results in a multi-site environment.
This is a Hybrid position located in our Carlsbad Home Office up to 3 days a week
What you will do
  • Evaluate current programs and deliver an L&D strategy and roadmap with an AL first approach
  • Design scalable learning for frontline teams, leaders, and corporate roles
  • Build and enhance playbooks, toolkits, and train-the-trainer capability that are cutting edge
  • Use AI responsibly to create fast, high-quality modules, job aids, and training videos
  • Establish governance, standards, and metrics to drive adoption and effectiveness

What you bring
  • Deep experience leading AI first large-scale L&D strategy and implementation with measurable outcomes
  • Strong, practical experience using AI + learning technology to scale learning
  • Experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Enablement, or Organizational Development with enterprise impact; including significant leadership experience building and scaling programs.
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing large-scale learning strategies and programs across multiple sites/functions, with measurable outcomes and sustained adoption.
  • Comfortable and experienced leveraging AI and learning technology to accelerate content creation, improve quality, and scale delivery (beyond experimentation).
  • Proven ability to establish standards and governance (intake/prioritization, SME validation, QA, approvals, version control, refresh cycles) to ensure trusted, compliant, brand-aligned learning.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders, inspire teams, and develop others to train effectively (train-the-trainer).

  • Competitive base salary $150,000-$195,000 plus eligibility to participate in the Company's annual incentive plan (target bonus opportunity of up to 20% based on company performance) and profit-sharing program (currently targeted at 4%), subject to plan terms and not guaranteed.
