Job Summary & Responsibilities
Technical Instructor will work in the Milpitas CA office reporting to the Technical Training Manager (in Budd Lake NJ). Relocation assistance available upon approvals. This position is a full-time Technical Training Instructor responsible for delivering training materials to ONTO Service Engineers and Customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in instructional design, stand-up instruction, development of technical documentation, and experience in Task List Based equipment training, experience in Field Service support is also preferred.
  • Designs Training Courses for customers and ONTO service engineers
  • Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or ONTO service engineers.
  • Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.
  • Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation.
  • Works with engineering, technical support, and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features.
  • Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions.
  • Follows up to determine course material is current and relevant
  • Maintains training tool operational readiness and resolves any issues that may arise with the equipment during or outside of class.
  • Must be willing to travel to field to provide OJT training, customer training and service engineer certification world wide. Travel is based on demand and can be approximately 30-50%.

Qualifications
  • Fluent English verbal & written is mandatory TOEFL scores accepted
  • Minimum 5 years' Previous Technical Training experience is desired.
  • Candidate should be familiar with all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Candidate familiar with video editing/processing software is desired
  • Candidate should be prepared to travel both domestically and internationally and have a current Passport or entry permission.
  • Electrical/electronics background
  • Reading electrical schematic diagrams
  • Optics or Physics is helpful for understanding but not always necessary.
  • Electrical equipment like Digital Multi-meters, and use of Oscilloscopes.

Compensation & Growth
• Base Salary Range:
$85,600.00 - $128,400.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
