Position Title: Central Scheduling Representative
Position Summary: Schedule outpatient diagnostic testing in a call center setting. Obtain accurate demographic information to start the pre-registration process and maintain accurate patient medical records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer phones and provide excellent customer service to patients and providers.
  • Read doctor's orders to accurately schedule patient appointments.
  • Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information over the phone.
  • Provides patients with accurate information on test preparation and procedures
  • Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
  • Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct

Required Qualifications:
Education and Training:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Medical terminology preferred but not required.
  • Ability to provide caring and compassionate service over the phone.
  • Able to utilize Microsoft Outlook (Office) and Microsoft Teams.
  • Proficient in typing and utilizing multiple software systems simultaneously.
  • Central Scheduling, outpatient registration or customer service preferred.

Work Shift Details:
Days - First Shift, Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 6pm. Friday 8:30am - 5pm. No weekends.
