What are recruiting professionals?

Recruiting professionals are specialists responsible for finding, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates to fill job openings within an organization. They manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating job offers. Recruiting professionals may work in-house for a company or as part of an agency, and they often collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs. Their goal is to ensure the organization attracts top talent efficiently and effectively.

What are the most common challenges Recruiting Professionals face when sourcing candidates, and how can they overcome them?

Recruiting Professionals often encounter challenges such as finding qualified candidates in a competitive market, managing high volumes of applications, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. To overcome these hurdles, recruiters can leverage advanced sourcing tools, build strong professional networks, and prioritize clear communication with candidates. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and continuously refining sourcing strategies also helps recruiters stay ahead in attracting top talent.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Recruiting Professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Recruiting Professional, you need expertise in talent sourcing, candidate assessment, and a solid understanding of employment laws, often supported by a degree in human resources or related fields. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and professional certifications like SHRM-CP or PHR is highly beneficial. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills help recruiters connect with both candidates and hiring managers. These skills ensure effective talent acquisition, a positive candidate experience, and the ability to meet organizational hiring goals.

Job Title: Recruiter

Company: EST03 Inc.

Location: Cincinnati | Fully On-Site

Reports to: Sr. People & Culture Generalist

The Opportunity

EST03 Inc. is seeking a recruiter to support high-activity, full-cycle recruiting across the organization. In this role, you will build strong sourcing, screening, candidate evaluation, and hiring manager partnership skills while supporting hiring needs across EST03 and its subsidiaries. You will help move candidates through the hiring process with urgency and professionalism while managing recruiting activity, interview coordination, and ATS workflows.

This is not a passive recruiting role. Success requires proactive sourcing, strong follow-up, organization, and the ability to manage multiple open roles without losing momentum.

Who We Are

EST03 Inc., established in Cincinnati in 2003, is the parent company of Advertising Vehicles, Adsposure, and STICK. Together, our companies help brands stands take their messages to the streets through fleet graphics, transit advertising, and professional installation services.

What started as a small business focused on vehicle advertising has grown into a national organization serving multiple U.S. markets. Today, Advertising Vehicles delivers end-to-end fleet graphics solutions, Adsposure specializes in high-impact transit advertising, and STICK provides precise, reliable installation services across vehicles and transit media.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated recruiting professional who wants to help us find, attract, and retain the right talent while growing their own career alongside EST03.

Who We're Looking For

We're not for everyone - and that's intentional.

You'll thrive here if you:

  • Take ownership and follow through
  • Want to win and expect results from your effort
  • Prefer accountability over comfort
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, in-office, team environment
  • See challenges as problems to solve
  • Enjoy sourcing, screening, and finding the right person for the right role
  • Are energized by high activity, urgency, and measurable recruiting outcomes

What You'll Do

Recruiting Execution

  • Manage recruiting activity for assigned exempt and non-exempt roles across EST03 and its subsidiaries
  • Source, screen, and qualify active and passive candidates
  • Conduct initial phone screens and present qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Coordinate interviews, support candidate movement, and assist with offer-stage communication
  • Maintain timely, professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring process

Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for recurring and high-priority roles
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and other channels
  • Research new sourcing methods and adjust outreach strategies based on role needs
  • Support pipeline development for sales, operations, administrative, and early-career roles

Candidate Evaluation

  • Evaluate candidates based on role requirements, experience, motivation, communication style, and values alignment
  • Identify candidate strengths, concerns, and potential job fit through effective screening
  • Provide hiring managers with clear candidate summaries, recommendations, and next steps

Hiring Manager & Team Support

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, priorities, and ideal candidate profiles
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, candidate status, and recruiting challenges
  • Support campus recruiting, career fairs, and early-talent outreach as needed
  • Build credibility through responsiveness, organization, and consistent follow-through

Recruiting Operations & HR Support

  • Manage ATS workflows, job postings, candidate records, and recruiting activity tracking
  • Maintain accurate reporting on open roles, pipeline health, and hiring progress
  • Support onboarding, new hire orientation, job description updates, interview guides, and process improvements
  • Provide backup HR support as needed

Requirements

What You'll Bring to the Role

Required

  • 2-4 years of recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, or related experience
  • Experience sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates
  • Comfort with outbound recruiting activity, including LinkedIn, Indeed, job boards, email/text outreach, and phone screening
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open roles at once
  • Ability to work with urgency while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and internal team members
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, in-office environment with changing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365

Preferred

  • Exposure to full-cycle recruiting
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system (ex. Paylocity or Paycor)
  • Experience recruiting for sales, operations, administrative, or early-career roles
  • Familiarity with employment laws and compliant recruiting practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field

We hire for character first, skills second.
