Logistics Admin Assistant

$15.00 - $19.00 Per Hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Administrative Assistant to support daily logistics, shipping, inventory, and administrative operations. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining records, communicating with vendors and carriers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and has strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Prepare shipping documents, invoices, purchase orders, and delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate inventory and logistics records
  • Audit trips/driver documents for billing and compliance
  • Support DOT
  • Communicate with vendors, carriers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding shipment status and delivery timelines
  • Assist with scheduling deliveries and pickups
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies
  • Update databases, spreadsheets, and logistics management systems
  • Support the logistics team with administrative tasks and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations
  • Handle filing, data entry, and general office support duties
Qualifications
