Overview

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Procurement Specialist/Admin for our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX.

Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC's and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more.

As part of our team, you will work hands-on in a fast-paced, innovative environment, helping reduce jobsite risks, accelerate project timelines, and deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities
  • Purchase finished goods and raw materials, such as electrical conduit, boxes, wire, fabricated parts, fittings, shop supplies, etc from local & global suppliers
  • Make sourcing decisions that demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial terms, price quotes, discounts, schedules, etc
  • Demonstrate business acumen to establish win-win agreements and relationships
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Resolve vendor related problems with quality, billing, delivery, and return issues
  • Interact with various construction project teams and manufacturing facilities to ensure continuous supply of materials and deadlines are met
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer savvy-experienced in using ERP/MRP systems and able to use the data to decrease the total cost of acquisition
  • Must possess analytical skills in forecasting production needs and capacity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Successful track record of troubleshooting, and resolving conflict in a way that is both assertive and diplomatic
  • A collaborative working style that removes obstacles and promotes teamwork
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office (emphasis on MS Excel)
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug/alcohol screening for access to all job sites
