The Role
This position will be supporting RCOH efforts in implementing newly established processes focused on driving executability of work. Will require coordination within IPPC, Project, Trades, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and Engineering. This roll will be supporting the multiple efforts with interactions across all levels of management, will require the ability to work independently and lead efforts/assignments with minimal oversight. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills will be needed to provide and present needed metrics. Will require frequent use of SAP to status/track material availability, IR and work package status, in order to determine impact analysis and determine risk mitigation steps.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to assist in implementation of established processes; Phase Management, Production Control Cells, etc.
• Understanding core IPPC principles; Workable Work, Status Codes, Material Tracking, Schedule Impact Analysis, etc.
• Experience coordinating efforts to plan work, anticipate problems, and report to stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to document unwritten processes and train less-experienced team members
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Team oriented, while being able to work independently and lead efforts/assignments
• Effectively communicate with value stream, to include various levels of management
• Willingness to be hands on; check on material status in manufacturing AORs, pick-up/deliver material, move packages from storage to waterfront, etc.
• Proactively engage; running audits, reviewing future material needs, daily check-ins with trades/project, etc.
• Ability to proficiently use Excel and PowerPoint
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice to Have
Six-Sigma certification, Auto-Cad and Integraph proficiency a plus.
