Project Management Specialist – Drive High-Impact Aviation Projects Across Multiple U.S. Locations

Location: Wichita, KS
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Contract)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | First Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate Starting at $43.06 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a results-driven Project Management Specialist to support a premier aviation organization across multiple U.S. locations. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex challenges, and knows how to turn plans into measurable results.


What You’ll Do
  • Support global kitting and bin management initiatives to improve operational flow and efficiency

  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, and schedules for complex initiatives

  • Identify project risks and opportunities, then create mitigation and action plans

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity

  • Manage customer requests and proposals, including gathering cost data and coordinating internal teams

  • Troubleshoot project issues proactively to keep deliverables on track

  • Maintain a strong customer-first mindset to enhance service, profitability, and performance

  • Build productive relationships across departments and with external stakeholders

  • Communicate project updates, timelines, and complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Use project management tools to track progress, milestones, and deliverables


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in project or program management

  • Proven success collaborating across complex cross-functional organizations

  • 1–2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and/or Distribution

  • Experience using project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent


Preferred Qualifications
  • Aviation or aerospace industry experience

  • Experience with SAP systems

  • Process improvement and systems integration experience

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodology exposure

  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven decision-making approach

  • Experience managing customer-facing projects or proposals

Pay Details: $43.06 per hour
