Job description

Title: Senior Business Process Analyst
Location: Philadelphia, PA (hybrid)
Type: Temp to perm
 
Our direct client is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to serve as the primary or sole business analyst on business-focused complex, high-risk, high-visibility projects with executive sponsors. The Business Process Analyst will be responsible for presenting a roadmap to implement a system, redesigning the lead qualification process to work optimally within and outside of that system. The Project Business Analyst will work with the Tableau team and the client to document the purpose, data sources, requirements and viability and lead validation, testing and launch.
 
Description:
This role may have 6-8 projects, which may include

  • Cloud-based COTS or SAAS system implementation
  • Supporting organizational restructuring initiatives, including the establishment of new functional groups and the reassignment of services or responsibilities between departments to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service delivery (e.g., budget development, laboratory services, contracting support).
  • Discovery into pain points in a process, including current state mapping and gap analysis, and developing recommendations.
  • Leadership dashboard and reporting development using new and evolving data for strategic decision making.
  • Gathering peer data to evaluate the efficiency of a process.
  • Remediation of a compliance or audit finding that may involve process, policy, staffing, reporting changes across disparate departments.

 
Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with functional and business teams and pivot for executive communication and executive stakeholder management.
  • Lead sessions, foster interaction from session participants, and synthesize information.
  • Listen, absorb, and process new operational information and translate that into actionable insights to present to business teams and executive leadership.
  • Develop requirements, process maps, lead elicitation sessions, and lead UAT including test script development.
  • Manage project elements of the business case, eliciting requirements, requirements analysis, communication, testing and training.
  • Facilitate development and implementation of strategic and support plans.
  • Facilitate request for proposal (RFP) activities to deliver functional requirements, vendor scorecards, criteria and scoring results, demo scenarios and scoring results.
  • Facilitate the creation and use of measurement activities required to report on project effectiveness, return on investment (ROI) and other success metrics.
  • Lead the collection and delivery of requirements, business / use cases, documentation, and test plans, cases, scripts, management and approval.
  • Support the execution of process improvement initiatives, creating process flow charts, value stream mapping and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project team members to improve the quality of project and program delivery.
  • Assist in the project documentation management based on the needs of each project.
  • Assist in the education and promotion of related methodologies and processes to stakeholders across the institute.
  • Perform on-going learning and training related to business analysis, project management and stakeholder activities.

 
Required Skills:

  • Bachelor''s degree required. (Advanced degree in healthcare, healthcare IT, business administration, management or related field is preferred.)
  • At least five (5) years of business analysis experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge guidelines (BABOK).
  • Advanced proficiency in business analysis techniques and principles.
  • Advanced proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and diagramming software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge guidelines (PMBOK).
  • Intermediate knowledge of change management principles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of healthcare / research operations and systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of risk management principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking / problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret data, work in Excel, articulate what data is needed, and understand the different data sources as well as is needed from the data in a project
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership

Preferred Skills:

  • Seven (7) years of business analysis experience overseeing medium-to-large complex projects with increasing responsibilities.
  • Three (3) years of project management experience in small-to-medium initiatives.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare, research, or academic related environment.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) / Black Belt (CSSGB) certification.
