Job description

Payroll Associate is responsible for processing employee payroll accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable wage and tax regulations. This role assists with payroll-related inquiries, reconciles payroll data, union reporting and supports the payroll administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares and processes Union and Non-Union payroll and associated information
  • Collates and verifies data and inputs into the payroll system
  • Performs basic reconciliation and auditing processes during each pay cycle
  • Responds to pay-related inquiries from staff
  • Researches and resolves errors or omissions
  • When needed, prepare, and submit reports and forms required by IRS or other regulatory or bargaining unit agencies
  • Follows all processing procedures, adheres to policies, and maintains confidentiality.
  • Participates in regular leadership development opportunities
