Job description
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Payroll Associate to join their team. As a Payroll Associate, you will be part of the Payroll Support Department supporting payroll tax processing and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and consistency, which will align successfully in the organization.
Role: Payroll Associate
Location: St. Paul, MN - 100% onsite
Duration: 3-4 months with the possibility of extension/conversion
Pay: $27/hr on W2
What's the Job?
- Specialize in backend payroll processing and post-payroll tax activities
- Handle tax notices and work directly with tax providers and third-party authorizations
- Manage multi-state payroll tax compliance and filings
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in payroll tax documentation and reporting
What's Needed?
- High school diploma with 2-3 years of payroll tax experience
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and FICA payroll taxes
- Experience working with state agencies and tax notices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel
- Clear and effective communication skills with attention to detail
