Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Air Defense team builds robots that find other robots and knock them out of the sky. At a time when air superiority can no longer be taken for granted, the Air Defense team provides mission critical capabilities to warfighters. From detection to tracking, identification, deterrence, and defeat, our family of networked sensors and effectors enables our customers to rapidly close the kill chain against a broad range of UAS threats. Working across product, engineering, business development, logistics, operations, and mission success, the Air Defense team develops, tests, deploys, and sustains the Anduril Air Defense Family of Systems in challenging operational environments worldwide.

ABOUT THE JOB

Air Defense is a high-octane, rapidly scaling business line that develops, integrates, and fields an expanding mix of mature and novel capabilities to detect and defeat UAS threats. As our business line continues to scale, our newest emerging initiatives require focused direction and ownership to rapidly mature in support of Air Defense's operational, technical, and financial objectives.
As the Program Manager - C2 Deployment for the IBCS-M program, you will serve as deputy program manager with primary focus on deployment planning, execution, and event/exercise support. This role is designed for a strong operator with C2 and CUAS technical depth who can translate program objectives into successful field operations and soldier feedback into actionable product requirements.
You will serve as the connective tissue between software engineering, program leadership, and operational fielding-ensuring our C2 software capabilities deploy on time, perform to specification, and exceed customer expectations across U.S. Army and allied partner nations.. You will own the deployment lifecycle from planning through sustainment, lead support for critical exercises and demonstrations, and serve as the voice of the end-user within program decisions.
This role requires someone who can think both strategically and tactically: comfortable developing deployment frameworks and briefing leadership one day, then troubleshooting software integration issues with soldiers at a customer site the next. You will build repeatable deployment processes, manage cross-functional coordination, translate warfighter feedback into engineering priorities, and ensure our program maintains operational credibility with Army stakeholders.
We move fast at Anduril and give tremendous freedom and autonomy to our new hires to assume responsibility and exercise prudent interdisciplinary judgement; when you join our team, you're signing up to immediately make an impact in our organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Deployment Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of IBCS-M deployments from site surveys through operational handoff for both U.S. and FMS customers
  • Develop deployment playbooks, readiness gates, and checklists to ensure repeatable, high-quality execution
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver mission-ready C2 capabilities to customer sites
  • Manage deployment schedules, dependencies, and risk mitigation to meet program commitments
  • Oversee site activation including software configuration, network integration, and system verification
  • Conduct after-action reviews to continuously improve deployment velocity and customer satisfaction

Event & Exercise Support

  • Serve as lead program representative for Army exercises, demonstrations, and operational events (CONUS/OCONUS)
  • Develop exercise support plans including personnel, equipment, timelines, and success criteria
  • Lead on-site technical support during events, ensuring system performance and rapid issue resolution
  • Facilitate soldier training and knowledge transfer to build end-user proficiency
  • Translate warfighter feedback and operational insights into product requirements for engineering teams
  • Document exercise outcomes and improvement opportunities to inform software development priorities

Program Management & Leadership

  • Serve as deputy program manager focused on deployment and operations, supporting overall program execution
  • Maintain deployment schedules, resource plans, and risk registers aligned with program milestones
  • Develop executive-level status reports and briefings for internal leadership and customer stakeholders
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure deployment readiness
  • Identify and escalate program risks early; drive mitigation strategies across stakeholders
  • Track deployment costs and ensure efficient resource utilization
  • Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case execution including coordination with DSCA, Security Cooperation Organizations, and allied partner program offices

Product & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build trust with Army end-users, program offices, and operational commanders through responsive support
  • Serve as the voice of the soldier-capturing user feedback and translating it into actionable software requirements
  • Bridge technical C2 software capabilities and operational employment for military customers
  • Coordinate with government program offices on deployment planning, reporting, and performance feedback
  • Ensure engineering priorities align with field realities and mission requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in deployment operations, C2 systems, CUAS programs, or defense technical operations
  • Proven C2 system knowledge including command and control architectures, networking, sensor-to-shooter integration, or fire control systems
  • CUAS technical depth including counter-UAS concepts, radar/EO-IR sensors, engagement operations, and/or air defense systems
  • Software system understanding with ability to troubleshoot integrations and translate user feedback into technical requirements
  • Project management experience including schedule development, resource coordination, risk management, and stakeholder reporting
  • Leadership capability with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution without direct authority
  • Strong operational rigor. Ability to build structured plans, manage concurrent work streams, and execute against tight timelines
  • Exceptional communication skill; comfortable briefing military leadership and translating technical concepts into operational terms
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time, including OCONUS travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Army C2 programs such as IBCS, FAAD C2, AFATDS, or integrated air and missile defense systems
  • Military background with operational experience in air defense, fires, or command and control roles
  • Exercise/event planning experience supporting military training events, demonstrations, or operational tests
  • Familiarity with government acquisition processes and program office coordination
  • Deputy Program Manager or Technical Program Management experience in defense or aerospace domains
  • Software development lifecycle knowledge and experience working with agile engineering teams
  • Prior work with PEO Missiles and Space or PAE Fires
  • Experience scaling deployment operations from early prototypes to sustained production fielding
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs, international partnerships, or allied nation training and deployment
  • Familiarity with DSCA processes, Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA), and Security Cooperation frameworks
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline
  • Able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance to TS/SCI
