Allies Against Bullying, Inc., is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to unite parents, educators, mental health professionals, law enforcement, and community leaders to collectively educate, support, and safeguard children, adults, and communities to actively end bullying and break the cycle of suffering in silence. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented community-focused volunteer Board Secretary.
Position
The Board Secretary is an elected officer of the Board of Directors responsible for supporting effective governance, board administration, and organizational compliance. This role ensures accurate documentation of board activities, maintenance of official records, implementation of governance policies, and clear communication. The Board Secretary helps uphold transparency, accountability, and adherence to the organizationโs bylaws and governance standards. Committed to advancing the organizationโs mission, the Board Secretary plays a vital role in strengthening governance practices, promoting operational excellence, and supporting the Boardโs strategic leadership and fiduciary responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Interest in nonprofit leadership and governance
- Administrative or executive support experience preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Familiarity with nonprofit operations is a plus
