Fresno Guest Homes is a leading provider of affordable, boutique-style residential assisted living services in Fresno, CA that specializes in offering a coordinated and integrated system of care to high-acuity older adults with multiple chronic illnesses, including Alzheimer’s and other dementia.

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Executive Administrator is responsible for all aspects of resident Care Operations within assigned Fresno Guest Homes facilities. This role ensures that care services meet regulatory standards and align with company protocols, prioritizing resident well-being and satisfaction.


The Executive Administrator’s primary focus is on resident care, including medication management and healthcare services coordination, directing Care Team members, compliance, and family communications to maintain high-quality care and resident/family satisfaction. While involved with recruiting, training, staffing/scheduling, HR, maintenance or non-care administrative functions, these functions are led and handled by different teams.


CARE OPERATIONS (i.e. RESIDENT CARE)

  • Involved with hiring process process for Care Team members; coordinate with Staff Development to facilitate ongoing training & development of Care Team members. 
  • Ensure all resident care services, including medication management and healthcare services coordination, are delivered in accordance with Fresno Guest Homes’ standards and state regulations.
  • Oversee resident service snapshots and medication management, including coordination with pharmacy.
  • Responsible for monitoring of resident condition changes and coordinating as necessary with healthcare services, including physicians, specialists, Home Health, Hospice, and DME.
  • Oversee infection control measures, emergency preparedness, and risk management related to resident care.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and incidents.


RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT

  • Ensure that residents have access to activities, entertainment, and enrichment activities that promote joy, purpose, and personal fulfillment.
  • Work with Staff Development to ensure that Care Team members are facilitating and implementing resident engagement and social interaction activities based on residents’ abilities and interests.
  • Work with Staff Development and Care Team members to ensure that resident engagement opportunities are tailored to residents’ abilities and interests.  
  • Promote a vibrant community atmosphere by encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that foster meaningful daily interactions and overall well-being.


COMPLIANCE & QUALITY ASSURANCE

  • Ensure compliance with RCFE regulations by adhering to internal policies and practices.
  • Oversee and prepare for licensing inspections; maintain positive working relationships with licensing staff.
  • Maintain accurate resident records and documentation per regulatory requirements.
  • Implement best practices and quality improvement initiatives to enhance care services.


FAMILY & COMMUNITY RELATIONS

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families, providing regular updates on resident well-being and responding to family questions timely and effectively.
  • Conduct family meetings and care conferences to ensure alignment on service delivery.
  • Address family concerns with professionalism and empathy, using a solutions-based approach driven by active listening.
  • Promote a culture of resident and family satisfaction through all resident/family touchpoints.


FACILITY OPERATIONS

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Food Service & Supplies, and Care Operations teams for facility upkeep, supplies, and DME needs.


FOOD SERVICE & DIETARY OVERSIGHT

  • Ensure that meal service is consistent with company menu and standards, including adequate portion sizing and presentation.
  • Address individual resident dietary needs, restrictions, modifications and preferences to promote nutrition, safety, and enjoyment.
  • Liaise between Care Team and Food Service to ensure both orders and deliveries are timely and accurate.
  • Monitor residents for dietary concerns, weight loss/gain, and hydration, implementing adjustments as necessary.  


QUALIFICATIONS  

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or a similar care setting.
  • RCFE Administrator Certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of resident care operations, medication management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a senior care environment.
  • Excellent family communication and conflict resolution abilities.
  • A compassionate, resident-first mindset with a commitment to high-quality care.
