Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Senior Sales Analyst to join our dynamic Customer Data Team. This entry-level role is responsible for transforming retailer sales data into actionable business insights that drive growth with key customers. This role serves as a strategic partner to Customer Sales Executives by identifying performance drivers, growth opportunities, distribution gaps, and competitive threats across retailers, categories, brands, and markets.
The analyst will maintain and validate syndicated and retailer data sources, develop reporting solutions, and deliver clear, insight-driven recommendations that help sales teams strengthen customer relationships and achieve revenue objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management & Reporting
  • Maintain retailer and syndicated sales databases, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of recurring sales reports.
  • Validate data integrity and resolve discrepancies across multiple data sources.
  • Support the development and enhancement of automated reporting solutions.

Business Analysis & Insights
  • Analyze retailer sales performance across categories, brands, segments, and geographies.
  • Identify sales strengths, weaknesses, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate trends in sales, share, distribution, pricing, promotion, and shopper behavior.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to explain changes in performance.
  • Monitor competitive activity and benchmark performance against key competitors.

Customer Sales Support
  • Partner with Customer Sales Executives to answer business questions and support customer planning.
  • Deliver insights that help prioritize opportunities and address performance gaps.
  • Create executive-ready presentations and summaries for retailer meetings and internal leadership reviews.
  • Translate complex data into concise, actionable recommendations.

Strategic Decision Support
  • Develop fact-based business cases to support sales strategies and customer initiatives.
  • Identify emerging market and retailer trends impacting business performance.
  • Recommend actions to improve sales, share growth, distribution, and profitability.
  • Support annual planning, business reviews, and retailer selling stories.

  • Use a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and weaknesses.
  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, related field or relevant experience.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in business analytics, category management, sales analytics, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Experience working with retailer sales data and syndicated datasets preferred (Circana, NielsenIQ, retailer POS data, etc.).
  • Experience supporting customer sales, category management, or revenue growth teams preferred.

Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
