Summary:
Under the direction of the Director, Educational Program Development, will be responsible for supporting the successful development, design, maintenance and overall implementation of new and existing educational programs, courses, services and products, while establishing and maintaining positive member and client relationships.
This role focuses on identifying and pursuing new opportunities for growth in education and professional development. Key responsibilities include researching, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating new educational programs, courses and services. This includes customized client offerings ("contract programs") and public offerings. In coordination with the Director, Educational Program Development, the incumbent works collaboratively with potential contract clients, internal teams and leaders, industry partners, committees, and volunteers to plan and develop new programs and courses as assigned, and to enhance existing products and services. Additionally, the incumbent contributes to the advancement of strategic initiatives that support the Foundation's mission and long-term goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifies new growth opportunities, including new clients, programs, courses, services and collaborative initiatives. A key focus is developing and delivering customized client education ("contract programs").
- Evaluates current educational products and services for their growth potential and devises improvements to add to their success. Ensures existing products remain relevant and current and are effectively delivered through appropriate methods and media.
- Designs and develops program and promotional content geared towards target audiences. Develops and leads projects preparing reports, reference guides, summaries, and other supporting documentation as needed.
- Manages committees and planning groups, as assigned, to develop topics, session content and presenter recommendations. Proposes ideas on new approaches and formats for providing subject matter at seminars.
- Reviews qualifications of potential presenters, then selects and invites presenters/instructors ensuring alignment with Foundation standards. Reviews and approves outlines and resource materials, and verifies presentation content includes appropriate coverage of current issues, latest reform initiatives, and governmental regulations.
- Coordinates with presenters throughout program development, writes presenter biographies, edits and approves final program materials. Analyzes audience profiles using surveys and/or questionnaires, and provides summary reports and feedback to assess program effectiveness and presenter performance.
- Maintains positive working relationship with all speakers to support and coordinate content, delivery, and provide coaching/feedback to ensure consistency and quality across programs.
- Collaborates with educational program directors and other Foundation staff in establishing and monitoring program policies and practices for U.S. or Canada.
- Provides support, guidance and recommendations to individuals regarding educational programs and services.
- Stays up to date on industry trends, legal and legislative activities and emerging trends for teaching and learning techniques, including delivery models and educational technology.
- Complete all assigned administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner, this includes without limit: expense reports, reconciliations, background reports and new project summaries.Â
- May serve as a staff advisor for one or more U.S. or Canadian governance committees, working with the chairs to develop agendas, supporting documentation and minutes. Assists staff advisors of other U.S. or Canadian committees program development, business agenda items, and various educational projects associated with committee initiatives.Â
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no formal direct supervisory responsibilities. However, incumbent may be required to train/mentor more junior staff members. Further, the incumbent will, from time to time as appropriate, lead teams that support educational programs.Â
Requirements
Required Education/ Experience:
The International Foundation will always consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field from an accredited university.Â
- 3+ years of experience in program development, educational program management, and/or event planning,
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult education principles or professional development practices, and experience in managing educational programs.Â
- Experience managing budgets and logistical aspects of events, including contracts, reimbursements, and vendor coordination.
- Experience with relationship management, working with volunteers or external stakeholders, preferably in a nonprofit or association environment.Â
- Proven ability to speak publicly in an effective and professional manner.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits or human resources management is strongly preferred.
- CEBS certification is required. If not currently held, the individual will be required to achieve the CEBS designation within 60 months of accepted offer as a condition of continued employment.Â
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with members, clients/potential clients, volunteers and presenters.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills with proven ability to manage conflict, foster collaboration and build a strong team.Â
- A successful track record of being able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Â
- Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Travel Requirements:
The individual will be required to travel both up to 30-50% of the time based on assignments, program needs, and opportunities. Most travel will be domestic but there could be international travel from time to time. Generally, the travel  could be as many as 20 or more trips per year. Most trips are 2-7 consecutive days. For longer trips, the incumbent regularly works on each of the consecutive days, including during nights and weekends (10-15 weekends per year, on average). As of 2025, up-to fifteen (15) additional paid days off work ("Comp Days") are offered per year for travel-related work conducted on weekend days.
Work Environment:
This position is expected to work from our corporate headquarters office in Brookfield, WI, from Monday through Friday of each week. This is an office environment with typical conditions, including lighting, noise, seating and equipment. Following a successful training period (and pending each individual's ability to effectively work from an appropriately-equipped home office, per the terms of the Hybrid Work Policy) incumbents may permitted to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, as business needs allow, in up-to a 60/40 (onsite/remote) hybrid schedule. The Foundation reserves the right to modify the current hybrid schedule at any time as business needs dictate.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The employee will occasionally be required to walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulders, and move from place to place. While attending offsite events, the individual will need to be able to work for longer-than-normal periods of time (upwards of 10-12 hours per day) over consecutive days, which may result in up-to 12 consecutive work days of varying length. The incumbent will regularly stand and walk for long distances and/or extended periods of time. The incumbent is regularly required to talk and listen and frequently required to sit and use hands for tasks requiring dexterity and/or grasping and holding. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Additionally, when preparing for business trips, events and meetings, the incumbent will be required to unpack and assemble materials and equipment. Individual must be able to lift and maneuver crates and suitcases weighing 30-50 lbs.; and occasionally up-to 100lbs in a team-lift capacity. When attending trips, events and meetings, the incumbent will be expected to walk long distances and may be expected to stand for extended periods of time.Â

The base salary for this exempt-level position starts at $60,000/year, based on experience.Â
