Job description

Endeavor Health Services is seeking a proactive and organized Human Resources Assistant to support our growing recruitment and hiring efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talent acquisition, candidate engagement, and fast-paced HR work while also gaining exposure to broader Human Resources operations. This position will be located onsite at our West Seneca, NY office.

What You’ll Do

Recruitment & Hiring Support

  • Assist with job postings, advertising, and recruitment efforts across multiple platforms
  • Screen applications and identify qualified candidates
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate communication with candidates and hiring managers
  • Assist with interview process
  • Support the offer process, including compensation recommendations, start dates, and onboarding coordination
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with pre-employment processes
  • Attend college job fairs and recruiting events to promote career opportunities
  • Help create a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process

Onboarding & Employee Engagement

  • Conduct New Hire Orientation
  • Manage intern onboarding process
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and special events, including:
    • Employee recognition events
    • Benefits enrollment
    • Organization-wide meetings

Human Resources Administration

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR files, and documentation
  • Conduct regular audits of HR files to ensure compliance and completion of required documents
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department
  • Respond to employee and applicant questions regarding policies, benefits, onboarding, and hiring processes
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information

Payroll & Compliance Support

  • Act as a backup for payroll-related functions, including answering employee questions and resolving processing issues
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies
  • Support HRIS and payroll system processes

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1–2 years of HR administrative, recruiting, or office experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with recruiting, applicant tracking systems, HRIS, or payroll systems
