Job description

Staff Recruiter
This Staff Recruiter position will oversee the entire recruitment process for professional staff positions nationwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment and effectively manage all areas of the recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding.
This role is full-time/exempt and reports to HR Director.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  1. Actively source and engage qualified candidates through a variety of recruitment methods, including employee referrals, job boards, social media networking and direct outreach.
  2. Post and manage job opportunities on the firm's website and external job portals.
  3. Source and recruit professional staff across all offices alongside the local managing partners and department managers.
  4. Coordinate, schedule and conduct interviews, draft and extend all offer letters, rejection letters, and manage applicant tracking.
  5. Conduct background checks and professional reference checks.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide status updates.
  7. Maintain the firm's onboarding tracking system for new hires and ensure configuration is up to date.
  8. Continuously assess recruitment and onboarding processes, tools, and resources to ensure seamless integration of new hires.
  9. Work with senior administrative coordinator on communication to candidates regarding orientation schedule and expectations leading up to their first day.
  10. Maintain and update new hire packets, ensuring all onboarding documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with firm policies and legal requirements.
  11. Manage the I-9 and E-Verify process for all new hires in compliance with federal employment eligibility requirements.
  12. Research and recommend salary ranges and identify any gaps.
  13. Coordinate with the payroll department to ensure timely processing and payout of employee referral bonuses and sign-on bonuses.
  14. Review job descriptions annually to ensure they are consistent with responsibilities.
  15. Track and maintain all recruiting activities and files.
  16. Participate in market research for compensation surveys.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the HR Director.

Education and Skills Required
  1. Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  2. A minimum of 5+ years' experience recruiting withing a law firm or in a recruiting agency specializing in legal.
  3. Possess a strong understanding of HR policies, practices, and employment laws, with comprehensive knowledge of full-cycle recruitment and onboarding.
  4. Experience with recruiting and onboarding systems and tools.
  5. Skilled at sourcing resumes and conducting interviews.
  6. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the firm.
  7. Capable of maintaining confidence of personal and highly sensitive information.
