Job description

Overview
    The Recruitment Associate for the Lander College for Women (LCW) at Touro University reports directly to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment and is a key member of the recruitment team. The Associate will be an integral part of the team with responsibilities to develop recruitment opportunities as well as help in retaining students already admitted to the college. The associate is expected to work directly with prospective students, college guidance and parents to help students in their journey to a college education. The team represents LCW as an important educational opportunity for those seeking a strong college education and preparation for a future career in any of our 29 majors or pre-professional programs. The Recruitment Associate will need to be familiar with all the programs offered such as Touro College Israel, The Israel Option, and the new Flex Option.
    LCW is currently hiring for two Recruitment Associates.
Responsibilities
  • Primary recruitment responsibility for recruitment events in the tri-state region.
  • Interview applicants who have chosen to be test optional, for admissions.
  • Help plan and execute the college open house (virtual and in person).
  • Help plan and execute campus visits for prospective students and their families.
  • Attend college fairs and National Conference of Synagogue Youth (NCSY) events to promote the institution.
  • Liaise with college guidance counselors to promote LCW.
  • Help prospective students navigate the application process.
  • Coordinate administration and grading of placement exams in a timely manner.
  • Arrange and conduct interviews and distribution of material for our year abroad program.
  • Order promotional materials for LCW.
  • Help organize and facilitate orientation for each semester.
  • In conjunction with the honors program director, manage the application process and prepare files for review.
QualificationsEducation/Experience
  • Bachelor of Arts Required.
  • 1-2 year experience working in a position requiring face-to-face meetings and presentations is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Team player who is adaptable, detail oriented and takes pride in their work.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Computer proficiency including in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Willing to learn new computer skills and specialized programs.
Travel
  • Applicant must be available to travel to recruitment events in the US and to work occasional evenings or Sundays, as needed.
