Job description

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads, directs and manages operations for account to ensure that the operations staff executes service agreements at or above the client's standards.
  • Maximize profitability through superior service, effective and prompt communications and follow-up on all pending matters.
  • Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules and adjust accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives.
  • Manage revenue and expenses to budget constraints.
  • Trains, develops and motivates employees to peak performance and growth in their knowledge and responsibilities.
  • Manages the financial aspects of the department (purchasing, budget preparation and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Skills & Abilities

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web based and job specific software applications.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate (verbally and intuitively) effectively with both clients and internal personnel.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.

Physical Requirements

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight

 Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED Required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum seven years related experience required
  • Minimum six years industry experience required
  • Minimum five years supervisory experience required

Certifications & Licenses

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
