Responsibilities include reviewing résumés, conducting interviews, and ensuring compliance with hiring policies. Temp Recruiters may work for staffing agencies or internal HR departments, focusing on filling contract or temporary positions efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a temp recruiter?

To thrive as a Temp Recruiter, you need a good understanding of recruiting practices, sourcing techniques, and candidate assessment, generally supported by prior experience in staffing or human resources. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter is typically required. These abilities are critical for efficiently filling positions on tight deadlines and building positive relationships with both clients and candidates.

Job description

Are you a current agency recruiter looking to transition into a recession proof industry?

Are you interested in a salaried position that also offers a no-cap commission structure?

If you answered “YES!” to the above, we want to hear from you!

We are National Anesthesia Services, Inc., a high-volume staffing agency that places advanced practice nurses and physicians across the country on temporary (locum) job assignments. We also do permanent placement, but locum placement is the bread and butter of our business. Our agency is highly regarded in our industry, and we have a reputation for excellence and integrity. We’re looking for individuals that possess those same values to join our team as Recruiters.

Here, your recruiting career can be highly rewarding – financially, professionally and personally. Those who are successful here are confident, driven, have an outstanding ability to think on their feet, possess excellent customer service skills and enjoy working in a true team environment. While you will earn an individual commission, our recruiting team works as one collective unit to fill our client’s staffing needs.

As one of our Recruiters, you can expect your day-to-day duties to include:

  • Full-desk recruiting; you’ll manage the candidate process from initial inquiry through the end of their assignment
  • Creating, writing, and updating job ads
  • Sourcing candidates through incoming and outgoing calls, e-mail and text
  • Reviewing candidate resumes and conducting phone screens prior to placement
  • Negotiating rates, travel and lodging expenses and other general contract terms as they apply to each placed provider’s assignment; no two contracts are the same!

It is our goal to promote successful Recruiters into Account Managers within 24-months. This promotion will make you responsible for managing current clients as well as adding new clients to our business.

For this position, you must possess professional level communication skills – both written and verbal – and know your way around the computer and Microsoft programs. We’re looking for someone to “dive right in” and begin recruiting and filling jobs within a few weeks of starting.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please review our compensation and benefit information below, and submit a Cover Letter and current resume.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Information on compensation and benefits:

  • Base salary $50,000-$60,000, based on experience
  • Monthly commission
  • Excellent and affordable health insurance
  • A company-paid life insurance plan
  • Retirement savings plan
  • Paid vacation, personal and sick days, and we do not have a “use it or lose it” policy, so you can accrue as much time as you want. Go ahead, plan those special trips!
  • Paid holidays

Interested candidates should send a Cover Letter and current resume. *Please note: If you will soon be relocating to our area but your resume does not indicate that, please include that information in your Cover Letter. Thank you!
