The Strategy Analyst supports the Strategy Lead in developing, analyzing, and delivering technology strategies that enable mission success within a classified U.S. Navy or DoD environment. This role contributes to strategic research, assessments, data analysis, roadmap development, and preparation of executive materials that guide decision-making and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong analytical capabilities, can synthesize complex information into clear insights, and is comfortable working in fast-paced, highly technical, and secure environments.
Strategy Analysis & Research
Conduct research and analysis on technology trends, capability gaps, mission requirements, and industry best practices.
Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., cloud, data platforms, automation, cybersecurity, AI/ML) for relevance to Navy programs.
Support environmental scans, comparative analyses, and benchmarking of technology initiatives across DoD and industry.
Develop summaries, insights, and recommendations that inform strategic direction.
Roadmap & Planning Support
Assist in developing multi-year technology roadmaps, including sequencing, dependencies, investment needs, and key milestones.
Track progress against strategic initiatives, identifying risks, blockers, and areas requiring leadership decisions.
Maintain and update strategy artifacts, including concept papers, decision briefs, vision documents, and alignment frameworks.
Support integration of strategy with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and program management workstreams.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Partner with the Strategy Lead to support workshops, working sessions, and leadership forums focused on strategy development and alignment.
Gather inputs from stakeholders across technical, operational, and business communities.
Consolidate feedback and help refine strategy recommendations based on stakeholder insights and mission needs.
Prepare briefings, talking points, and visual materials for senior leaders.
Data Analysis & Insight Generation
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data related to mission performance, technology adoption, and operational priorities.
Develop charts, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate trends, risks, and strategic opportunities.
Support development of business cases, investment analyses, and cost-benefit assessments.
Translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
Documentation & Executive Communication
Draft and refine strategy documents, white papers, decision briefs, and presentations.
Ensure materials are clear, concise, and tailored to senior audiences across classified and unclassified environments.
Create visual representations of strategies, roadmaps, and capability models to support leadership discussions.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance (US Citizen)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Public Policy, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in strategy analysis, digital transformation, enterprise technology, or related analytical roles (DoD or Navy preferred).
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical and mission-related information into concise insights.
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefs, reports, and visualizations.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with technical, operational, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in classified environments and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Estimated annualized salary range: $125-$140K
