The Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment within SME&C is at the leading edge of growth and transformation. It's a tremendous growth engine for the company dedicated to bringing the Microsoft cloud to millions of SMB customers worldwide through scalable routes to market, growing revenue, market share, and net new customers while enabling a high level of customer and partner experience.
As the Senior Business Strategy Analyst, you will lead the development of actionable customer insights across millions of accounts that guide SMB strategic business decisions and deliver near-term revenue. You will develop and assess performance of customer targeting cohorts aligned to the SMB business strategy to focus sales & marketing campaigns for sales engines and partners. You will be a trusted strategic advisor for customer insights to the leadership teams of the SMB Regional Operating Units and Customer Solution Area SMB strategy architects. You will become an expert and improve the CloudAscent SMB customer insights platform useability, adoption, and usage across sales engines teams and partners. You will lead the account selection process for an SMB sales engine by assessing account performance and developing criteria for account selection as part of the annual segmentation process.
You will analyze large complex data sets from multiple sources to solve complex and ambiguous problems using the latest data analysis tools and communicate insights in simple form to sales management teams. You will deliver agile insights and quick-turn reporting projects that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. You will create robust analytical models across multiple data sets to inform forward-looking SMB strategy.
You will drive innovation on SMB customer insights partnering closely with sales, marketing, finance, reporting, leadership, and data science teams.
To be successful, you need to have the ability to derive insights across large volumes of data using the latest analytical tools to inform business strategies, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, and be customer and partner centric. This role is flexible, enabling you to work up to 40% at home.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
3+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance.
Additional or preferred qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
