Job Summary
At Ashland Community and Technical College, we educate with excellence, serve with purpose, and equip our students to succeed for life. We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Business Administration instructor to teach business and accounting courses.
Job Duties:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
• Teaching approximately 15 credit hours per semester
• Teaching assignments will be face-to-face and online.
• Maintaining weekly office hours on campus
• Advising students
• Participating in college or system committees
• Maintain a current understanding of the field.
A successful ACTC faculty member will exhibit the following:
• Willingness to work with peers to support the mission of the college
• Willing to teach at times, locations, and modalities to meet the needs of our students, including high school dual credit and prison education program students
• Present the current discipline knowledge to teach effectively
• Demonstrate respect for the varied learning needs of students and the ability to adapt teaching methods to address learning styles
• Willingness to participate in the college's continuous improvement process.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include a Master of Business Administration with a Certified Public Accountant license and three years of accounting experience or a Master of Science in Accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer a candidate with at least two years of teaching experience with face-to-face and/or online modalities and experience with a learning management system (Blackboard or similar LMS) and other instructional technology.
Additional Skills Requested:
This is a ten-month term contract position.
