Job description

The Director of Digital Strategy leads the vision, strategy and performance of the organization's digital ecosystem to support patient access, growth and brand engagement. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital strategy across web, intranet, mobile, search, social and emerging platforms.

This leader partners closely with marketing, clinical and operational teams to create seamless, user-centered digital experiences that make it easier for patients and families to find, access and engage with care while upholding brand standards and accelerating brand equity. The role blends strategic leadership, data-driven decision making and strong execution to drive measurable outcomes across the patient journey.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the enterprise digital strategy aligned with growth, access, and engagement goals.
  • Optimize the digital patient journey from awareness through access and ongoing care.
  • Oversee website and digital platform strategy, governance, and performance.
  • Lead digital acquisition efforts including SEO/SEM, paid media, social, and content marketing.
  • Use data, analytics, and KPIs to measure performance and drive continuous optimization.
  • Partner cross-functionally with clinical, IT, access, communications, and marketing teams.
  • Improve digital conversion, including scheduling, navigation, and patient access pathways.
  • Manage digital budgets, agencies, and vendor relationships.
  • Establish digital standards, governance, and operational best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility, privacy, and healthcare regulations.
  • Lead innovation through emerging technologies including AI, personalization, and new platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or related field required
    Master's degree preferred
  • 8+ years in digital strategy, digital marketing, or related roles
  • 3+ years in leadership roles
  • Healthcare, pediatric, or mission-driven experience preferred
     

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven experience leading digital transformation and complex digital ecosystems
  • Strong expertise in SEO/SEM, paid media, web strategy, analytics, and marketing technology
  • Experience with CMS platforms, digital experience platforms, and analytics tools
