The Digital Operations Coordinator supports and maintains enterprise digital platforms, including websites, CMS environments, CRM systems, and marketing technology tools. This role partners closely with IT and Marketing to ensure digital systems, content, and customer communications function accurately and at scale.
The Digital Operations Coordinator serves as a key liaison between IT and marketing functions, managing SAE International's digital presence and customer communications. In this role, you will maintain and optimize the organization's website platform, support marketing content creation across multiple channels, and coordinate with technical teams to ensure seamless digital operations. You will also monitor customer feedback, manage social media channels, support event initiatives, and leverage marketing technology platforms to drive engagement and generate qualified leads. This is a collaborative, high-impact individual contributor role that directly supports SAE's mission to advance mobility knowledge and solutions. This role is 65% IT/Web and 35% Marketing support. The role is accountable for maintaining reliable digital operations, improving responsiveness to customers and internal stakeholders, and ensuring digital tools and content are accurate, timely, and scalable.

Essential Functions

Website & Digital Platform OperationsManage and support website platform operations, including content migrations, updates, and performance optimization.Coordinate with technical teams on application configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and platform enhancements.Upload, organize, and maintain video and multimedia content across digital platforms.Marketing Operations & CommunicationsSupport the creation and maintenance of digital marketing content (website copy, email campaigns, newsletters, presentations).Manage social media channels, including scheduling, monitoring engagement, and reporting on performance.Track and report digital engagement metrics to support datadriven decisions.Customer, CRM & Event SupportMonitor and respond to customer inquiries through shared mailboxes and ticketing systems.Extract, organize, and maintain customer leads and CRM integrations.Support event logistics, booth setup, registration coordination, and attendee communications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's in IT, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or relevant experience
  • Experience: 3 or more years of experience in digital operations, marketing operations, web coordination, or a related technical support role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated skill with website content management systems (CMS), marketing automation platforms, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and commonly used digital marketing tools.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Experience with video production, editing, or multimedia content creation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, social media marketing strategies, email marketing platforms, and digital analytics tools is a plus.
  • Experience with web analytics tools and a track record of data-driven decision-making is beneficial
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies or marketing operations frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a general office environment using standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and copier.
