Job Description Summary

The Procurement Specialist - Strategic Procurement Analytics supports the Procurement organization through spend analytics, reporting, sourcing support, automation initiatives, and procurement operations activities. This role leverages data, technology, and business insights to improve spend visibility, enhance decision-making, support sourcing activities, and drive operational efficiency across the Procurement function.
The position serves as a key resource supporting Procurement analytics, supplier performance reporting, market research, sourcing projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with Procurement, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders, the role contributes to Procurement objectives through reporting, analysis, automation, and project support.
This role is designed to provide broad exposure to procurement disciplines including analytics, sourcing, supplier management, procurement operations, and digital enablement while supporting future career growth opportunities within Procurement.

Job Description

Builds and executes category strategy for assigned supplies, materials or services in accordance with approved buying programs using the established procurement policy at a competitive price ensuring the needs of internal customers are met.

Procurement Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Procurement dashboards, scorecards, and reports utilizing Power BI and related reporting tools.

  • Conduct spend analysis to identify trends, opportunities, spend concentration, and category insights.

  • Support Procurement KPI development and performance reporting activities.

  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting for Procurement leadership and business stakeholders.

  • Analyze supplier, category, and operational data and provide recommendations to support business decisions.

  • Translate data into actionable insights through meaningful visualizations, presentations, and business summaries.


Strategic Sourcing Support

  • Support sourcing initiatives through spend analysis, supplier research, market analysis, and RFx support activities.

  • Assist Procurement Managers with bid evaluations, supplier comparisons, and business case development.

  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and supplier assessments to support sourcing decisions.

  • Support sourcing project execution and documentation activities.

  • Participate in cross-functional sourcing and procurement projects as assigned.

  • Prepare presentations and analytical materials to support stakeholder discussions and procurement initiatives.


Supplier Performance & Market Intelligence

  • Support development and maintenance of supplier performance scorecards and reporting tools.

  • Analyze supplier performance metrics, service levels, delivery trends, and compliance measures.

  • Monitor market trends and industry developments impacting procurement categories and suppliers.

  • Assist with supplier performance reviews and improvement initiatives.

  • Identify potential risks, trends, or opportunities through supplier and category analysis and communicate findings to Procurement team members.


Spend Visibility

  • Support administration and utilization of SAP Ariba Spend Visibility and related procurement technologies.

  • Maintain spend taxonomy, supplier hierarchies, spend classifications, and reporting attributes.

  • Support supplier normalization and spend classification activities to improve reporting accuracy and visibility.

  • Monitor data quality and assist with resolution of reporting discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, IT, Accounts Payable, and Master Data teams to support accurate procurement reporting.

Automation & Digital Enablement

  • Identify opportunities to automate Procurement reporting, workflows, and manual processes.

  • Develop and maintain automated solutions utilizing Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, and other approved technologies.

  • Support Procurement digital enablement initiatives that improve efficiency, visibility, and stakeholder experience.

  • Assist in evaluating and implementing tools that enhance Procurement performance and reporting capabilities.

  • Promote data-driven decision-making through reporting automation and effective analytics.


Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Support

  • Build effective working relationships with Procurement, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and business stakeholders.

  • Support savings tracking, reporting, and Procurement performance measurement activities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve Procurement processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.

  • Support adoption of Procurement technologies, reporting tools, and best practices.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects across the Procurement organization.

  • Perform other Procurement-related duties as assigned.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field required.

  • Experience developing reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI, Excel, or similar analytical tools required

  • Experience performing spend analysis, supplier analysis, KPI reporting, or business analytics required

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills required.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and data storytelling capabilities required

  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced and evolving environment required.

  • Demonstrated interest in developing a long-term career within Procurement required.

  • Experience with SAP Ariba, SAP, Coupa, Jaggaer, or similar procurement technologies preferred.

  • Experience with Power Automate, Copilot, SQL, Power Query, Alteryx, or related automation and analytics tools preferred.

  • Experience supporting sourcing activities, supplier management, category management, or supply chain functions preferred.

  • Experience developing supplier scorecards, performance reporting, or business intelligence solutions preferred.

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement, automation, or digital transformation initiatives preferred.

Physical Environment/Demands

  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.

  • Regular use of computers, reporting systems, and business applications.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
