Job description

Business Development / Sales Engineer
Moon Fabricating Corp. – Kokomo, IN

Sell big. Win complex industrial work. Get paid for it.

Moon Fabricating Corp. is a proven leader in custom steel fabrication and corrosion-resistant lining solutions, serving some of the most demanding industrial environments in the Midwest and beyond. We’re growing fast—and we’re looking for a Business Development / Sales Engineer who knows how to open doors, build trust, and turn complex industrial problems into profitable, long-term relationships.

This is not a commodity sales role. You’ll be selling engineered, high-value solutions into heavy industry—projects that matter, customers that stick, and commissions that reflect real wins.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Research, develop, and close new business across chemical manufacturing, power generation, steel mills, corn processing, and water treatment

• Own and grow key accounts while continuously expanding your territory

• Call on engineers, EPC firms, plant managers, and decision-makers tied to large capital and maintenance projects

• Get involved early in project lifecycles and drive opportunities from concept through close

• Work directly with fabrication, engineering, and leadership—no layers, no hand-offs

• Build a book of business designed for repeat work and long-term earnings

WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN HERE

• 3+ years of proven success in industrial sales or business development

• Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and close new opportunities

• Experience selling into steel mills, power plants, chemical plants, corn syrup refineries, or water treatment facilities strongly preferred

• Comfortable calling on engineering and construction firms supporting large capital expenditure projects

• Self-directed, competitive, and motivated by performance—not hand-holding

• Able to speak both technical and business language with confidence

COMPENSATION & COMMISSION

• Strong base salary based on experience

• Uncapped commission plan—no ceilings, no artificial limits

• Commission structure rewards new account wins, major capital projects, and sustained account growth

• Designed for above-market earnings for producers who consistently deliver

• Opportunity to build long-term residual income through repeat industrial work

• If you can sell, you will be paid like it

WHY MOON FABRICATING?

• Established, respected industrial manufacturer with deep technical expertise

• Custom, engineered work—not price-shopping commodity sales

• Direct access to ownership and decision-makers

• Fast, practical, no-nonsense culture that values results

• Real opportunity to grow your territory, income, and influence as the company expands
