Job Title/Position: Lead Medical Records Assistant
Reports to: Assistant Administrator/ Regional Director of Patient Care Services
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Lead MRA's primary function is to facilitate the distribution and receipt of Physicians' Orders; and ensuring the maintenance and accuracy of patient charts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Act as Leadership for the Medical Records Team, monitoring activity and efforts from all members of the Dedicated MRAs.
  2. Run and distribute follow up reports to the MRAs.
  3. Manage aging orders, Consents, NOMNCs and documentation needing to be uploaded in the patient charts.
  4. Ensure Order & Fax Queues are cleared regularly.
  5. Lead MRA will lead meetings and record meeting minutes.
  6. Maintain Physician Signature Attestation file.
  7. Distribute daily supplies shipped report and ensure items are added in patient charts.
  8. Ensure new patients are added in the supplies portal.
  9. Assist with Medical Supplies Closet maintenance and inventory.
  10. Provide back up to incoming calls and visitors at the front door.
  11. Assist Facilities Manager as needed.
  12. Provide effective communication to clients, their families, team members, and other health care professionals.
  13. Other duties assigned by supervisor.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
Organized and resourceful self-starter, strong ability to work in a team.
Excellent observation, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
