Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Records Support Associate for a contract/temporary administrative opportunity in Washington, DC supporting a government and public sector environment. This role is ideal for a dependable clerical professional who enjoys structured work, high-volume document handling, records organization, mail processing, scanning, and data entry. Must have Secret Clearance or higher.

The Records Support Associate will support records retirement, file preparation, document sequencing, mail distribution, and archive activities. This position offers a stable, process-driven work setting where accuracy, consistency, teamwork, and reliability are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform records retirement projects, including pulling records, verifying alphabetical order, preparing folders, boxing files, typing manifests, and recording accession numbers or identifiers.
- Prepare files for retention, disposition, retrieval, mailing, and storage according to established procedures.
- Assist with incoming mail distribution, third-party mail sorting, document sequencing, scanning, and basic data entry.
- Operate high-speed scanning equipment and generate mailing labels for shipping and archival processes.
- Load, offload, move, stack, and organize boxes, pallets, and packages using manual or electric pallet jacks when required.
- Provide reception coverage during breaks or lunch periods, including answering administrative telephones as needed.
