Position Summary:
SET Active is looking for a Product Developer to join our Product team. This role will manage end-to-end product development from design handoff through pre-production across multiple categories including activewear, basics, loungewear, swim, outerwear, sweaters, and more.
The right candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where communication and execution speed matter. This is an opportunity for someone who is excited to own the development process, partner cross-functionally, and help bring product to life from concept through production readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for development of product from design hand off through pre-production: activewear, basics, loungewear, swim, outerwear, sweaters, and other categories as assigned
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of construction, fabric, and product creation
  • Assist with sourcing applicable fabric and trim
  • Manage daily communication with all domestic and overseas vendors for all categories assigned
  • Analyze and evaluate product samples and provide clear comments regarding technical details, quality, and construction
  • Work closely with technical designer and product designer to ensure brand vision is being executed
  • Maintain Development WIP
  • Create BOM
  • Ownership of lab dip color approval process
  • Communicate problems, issues, concerns to Dept. Head as soon as they arise
  • Work with Manager to identify roadblocks/issues that may cause delays
  • Monitor delivery dates and communicate any delays, or problems
  • Own the department calendar from Design hand-off through TOP approval
  • Oversee photo shoot sample tracking from order placement through delivery to marketing team
  • Work closely with designer to coordinate drop style review and approval meetings (Print CADS, pull lab dips and any inspiration photos or samples)

Qualifications:
  • 3-6+ years of experience in product development, production, or apparel roles across multiple categories (activewear, loungewear, swim, outerwear, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric, trims, and end-to-end product development (design handoff through TOP approval)
  • Experience working with domestic and overseas vendors and managing daily communication and issue resolution
  • Proven ability to manage WIPs, development calendars, multiple styles, and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with BOM creation, sample tracking, and lab dip approvals
  • Strong ability to evaluate product samples and provide clear, actionable technical feedback
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to identify and escalate risks early
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, partnering closely with design and technical design teams
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; PLM experience preferred
  • Able to work 4 days on-site in Beverly Hills, CA
  • Activewear or high-growth apparel experience strongly preferred
