Job description

Description:

Position Summary:

The Product Architect owns the end-to-end technical vision for platform services — how filing intake, validation, dissemination, and search capabilities decompose into microservices, how they interact, and how agentic AI is woven into both the product and the way we build it. You will be the senior technical authority bridging business needs, the product roadmap, and a dozen engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define product architecture and the technical roadmap across all platform capabilities

- Design microservices and event-driven patterns aligned to filing workflows and data flows

- Architect agentic AI integration (Amazon Bedrock Agents, Model Context Protocol) into product features and the development lifecycle

- Decompose epics into technically coherent slices with product owners and lead engineers

- Arbitrate cross-team technical decisions spanning development, data, and security

- Ensure designs meet performance, scalability, Section 508 accessibility, and regulatory requirements

- Maintain architecture documentation, decision records, and interface contracts

- Mentor lead engineers and review high-impact designs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

Requirements:

Non-Technical Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

- Must be willing to work a HYRBID Schedule (2 Days) in Reston, VA & client locations in the Washington D.C. area as required.

- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Must be able to prioritize and self-start.

- Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities shift.

- Must be enthusiastic and have passion for learning and constant improvement.

- Must be open to collaboration, feedback and client asks.

- Must enjoy working with a vibrant team of outgoing personalities.

Required Qualifications:

- 10+ years of software/product architecture experience, including large-scale federal systems

- Deep experience with microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture

- Demonstrated ability to lead architecture across multiple Agile teams

- Strong communication skills with technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

- Financial-regulatory or filing-systems domain experience

- Amazon Bedrock Agents, MCP, or applied agentic AI architecture experience

- AWS certification (Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent)
